Citizen Charter
Our Citizen’s Charter represents a systematic effort to focus on the commitment of UAFDC towards its Citizens in respects of Standard of Services, Information, Choice and Consultation, Non-discrimination and Accessibility, Grievance Redressal, Courtesy and Value for Money. This also includes expectations of the Organization from the Citizen for fulfilling the commitment of the Organization.
The following facilities are being provided to the common man by the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation:
1-Setting up of retail sale depots -
The UAFDC is making available wood and other forest products at concessional rates from its sale depots. Fifty retail sale depots have been established in Uttarakhand for this purpose. In order to view list of these depots Click here
2 - Fuelwood supply –
At present, the general public is sold 40 kgs of fuel wood against ration cards at the rate of Rs. 160 per quintal.
3 - Fuelwood for cremation purposes –
Fuel wood is being provided at Rs. 160 per quintal for purposes of cremation. Social Service Organizations have also been involved in the supply of firewood for cremation.
4 - Supply of Charcoal –
Charcoal is being supplied to general category of public in Nainital, Almora and Ranikhet at Rs. 350 per quintal and to those below the poverty line at Rs. 275 per quintal. The sale is made in the following manner:
a) Against ration card – One to two and a half units – 5 kgs per month.
b) Against ration card – Three to four units – 10 kgs per month.
c) Against ration card – Four and a half to five and a half units – 15 kgs per month.
d) Against ration card – Above six units – 20 kgs per month.
5 - Timber for house construction –
Timber is available for house construction to the general public at the prices fix for the retail sale against approved house map in urban areas and against Gram Pradhan's certificate in rural areas.
a) Sale by Depot Officer upto 3 cubic metres.
b) Sale by Divisional Marketing Manager upto 5 cubic metres.
c) Sale by Regional Manager upto 10 cubic metres.
Note: Trade Tax, Income Tax, and Mandi fees are payable to government on these prices in accordance with regulations. These rates are displayed at the depots.
