Learn About Nature

Uttarakhand is home to four major river systems and supported by eight major forest types, snow-capped mountain peaks, glaciers, lakes, rolling meadows, dense forests and wetlands supporting a rich and diverse biodiversity. It is home to 3748 faunal species, over 600 species of birds, 109 species of mammals and 124 species of reptiles. It offers some unique treks to grasslands, forest, and hilltops along with heritage sites waiting to be explored.

UKFDC includes astro science as a unique night time experience for students to explore the clear and unpolluted skies. Guided sessions introduce them to constellations, planets and basic astronomical concepts. This initiative blends education with adventure, sparking curiosity about space while connecting participants with nature in serene forest settings.
